SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring for various positions in the SSC CHSL Exam 2024 must meet specific educational qualifications by August 1, 2024. To be eligible for roles such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding DEOs in certain Departments/Ministries), individuals must have completed the 12th Standard or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Furthermore, those aiming for the position of Data Entry Operators (DEOs)/DEO Grade ‘A’ at the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of Culture need to have passed the 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board.
Applicants interested in these positions must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 27 years, which means they should have been born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006. Moreover, relaxation in age criteria is possible beyond the upper limit based on the prevailing rules and regulations.
SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Salary Package
The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 offers competitive salary packages for different positions. As a Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), you can expect a starting basic pay of Rs. 19,900 at Pay Matrix Level-2. In metropolitan areas, the total salary rises to Rs. 37,845.
If you secure the role of Data Entry Operator (DEO), your basic pay will be Rs. 29,200 at Pay Matrix Level-5. In metro cities, this translates to a total salary of Rs. 57,960.
For those appointed as Data Entry Operator, Grade A, the basic pay stands at Rs. 25,500 within Pay Matrix Level-4. In major cities, the total compensation reaches Rs. 51,300.
