Sikkim RTE Admission List 2025-2026
Sikkim RTE Admission PDF 2025: In compliance with the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009, private schools across the country are mandated to adhere to the annual ‘Right to Free and Compulsory Education’ regulation. This legislation stipulates that private educational institutions must set aside 25% of their total enrollment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Under the provisions of the RTE Act, private schools are directed to reserve a quarter of their available slots during the initial stages, encompassing Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Class I, for children belonging to economically and socially underprivileged groups. Priority in admissions is granted by state authorities to children falling under specific categories such as sanitation workers, individuals affected by HIV, persons with disabilities, and orphaned children as per the RTE admissions policy.
The admission process commences with a public announcement, providing interested parties with sufficient time to submit their applications electronically to the nearest private school. Moreover, it is imperative that the selection process is conducted in a just and transparent manner, potentially employing methodologies like a Draw of Lots. Subsequently, the outcomes of the admission procedure must be prominently displayed on the school’s notice board and website, presenting a comprehensive list of all applicants along with their corresponding roll numbers.
