CSD Canteen Opening Timings 2024: The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) of the Chennai Military Canteen has officially moved its office to Fort St George STN HQ in Chennai. Although the main depot remains in Chittilapakkam, the sole location for purchasing AFD items is now at the STN HQ in St George Fort. This relocation offers enhanced convenience for those looking to buy cars, bikes, scooters, or various consumables, as it eliminates the need to travel to the Chitlapakkam Depot in Chromepet, Chennai. CSD Canteen Hours of Operation: The CSD Chennai Depot has designated hours during the week to serve its patrons effectively. It welcomes customers from Monday to Saturday, operating from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, with a lunch intermission from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Notably, the depot is closed on Wednesdays for necessary maintenance. Sundays are set aside as a holiday, giving both staff and visitors a much-needed respite from the bustling week.

Sundays are reserved exclusively for morning hours, with service available from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Notably, the canteen observes a weekly closure on Wednesdays.
To maintain safety and manageability, the Avadi CSD URC Canteen has established specific guidelines regarding customer capacity. The main dining area accommodates up to ten customers at once, while the officers’ counter can host seven. The suitcase counter is limited to three customers, and the branch canteen allows five customers at any given time.
Additionally, pensioners may access the facility only during the morning hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. During times without restrictions, the CSD Unit Run Canteen (URC) at HVF Avadi maintains a standard operating schedule for the convenience of its visitors.
